At Elevate English, we believe that learning English is about far more than grammar and vocabulary. It's about having the confidence to contribute in meetings, share ideas, build relationships, and seize new opportunities.

Many professionals already understand English well. They can read reports, write emails, and follow conversations. Yet, when it's time to speak, uncertainty often takes over. Fear of making mistakes, searching for the right words, or sounding "imperfect" can prevent talented people from fully participating in the workplace.

That's why we created Elevate English.

Our mission is simple: to help professionals communicate with confidence through personalized coaching, meaningful conversation, and practical English they can use immediately in their everyday work.

No two learners are the same. Every professional has different goals, strengths, challenges, and learning styles. That's why we don't believe in one-size-fits-all language instruction.

About the Founder

Hi! My name is Emaline Gonzalez, and I am the founder of Elevate English. After more than eight years of teaching English, I noticed the same pattern again and again with my students.

Traditional language classes often focus on completing a textbook or preparing for an exam. While those approaches can improve grammar and vocabulary, they don't always prepare learners for the real conversations they face every day. Professionals don't simply want to know English—they want to use it.

They want to:

contribute confidently in meetings
speak comfortably with international colleagues
deliver presentations without fear
build stronger relationships with clients
feel like themselves when communicating in another language

I founded Elevate English to create a learning experience that is personal, practical, and centred on the individual—not the textbook.

My Experience

I have over eight years of experience teaching English to adults and professionals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

Throughout my career, I've worked with learners at every stage of their English journey, helping them develop the confidence to communicate more naturally in academic, professional, and everyday settings.

My experience includes:

Qualifications

Double Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and International Development Studies (McGill University)
TESOL/TEFL Certified (Oxford Seminars)
Trilingual: English, Spanish, and French
Over eight years of professional English teaching experience
Specialist in online and remote language coaching

Beyond the Classroom

Language is ultimately about connecting with people.

Outside of teaching, I'm passionate about art, storytelling, mindfulness, and community building. These interests have shaped the way I coach by encouraging curiosity, active listening, creativity, and authentic conversation.

I believe that meaningful learning happens when people feel supported, understood, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.

Whether we're preparing for an important presentation or simply building everyday speaking confidence, my goal is always the same:

To create a space where learners feel comfortable taking risks, celebrating progress, and discovering that they already have more to say than they think.
